Our History

Central Baptist Church

In October of 1985, Central Baptist Church was started by Pastor Daniel "Buddy" Ward.

Originally it was named Lonestar Fundamental Baptist Church, but after several years of ministry, the church moved to its current location it was renamed Central Baptist Church. At this time, Bro. Ward stepped down and Pastor Jerry Stout became the pastor.

In 2008, Bro. Stout stepped down and Pastor Fred Ferren pastored until 2025. In early 2026 Bro. Caleb Turner became Central Baptist Church's new pastor.

Central Baptist Church is a friendly, old fashioned, Bible preaching church. Our mission is to show the love of God to people in every stage of life. Preaching the gospel to the lost, helping God's children grow in their walk with him and ministering to people of all ages.
